Grease Traps are plumbing devices that block and collect food particles and FOGs from entering the main sewer system. The wastewater that comes from the sink will be containing FOG. But if we allow this to flow into the main sewer system, it may cause a block in the flow of wastewater. Grease traps help in the smooth flow of water. How do grease traps work? In restaurants, when constant cooking happens, the amount of FOG in wastewater is high. The FOG is in liquid form when it is hot, but it solidifies when it is cooled and this may lead to blocks in the drain if we do not separate the FOG at the right time.
